I am a doctoral candidate in the Travers Department of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to entering the program, I received my B.A. in Political Science and Latin American Studies from the University of California, San Diego.
My dissertation focuses on the ways in which perceptions of violence develop and how those perceptions affect public opinion formation and political behavior, looking specifically at the drug-trafficking related violence that is ongoing in Mexico.
